Use Island Colony, 445 Seaside Avenue, Honolulu as your destination.
Collect your bags before requesting a ride. Follow the airport’s “Ride App Pickup” signs and the pickup zone assigned in your app.
Pickup is on Ground Level 1: outside Baggage Claim 6 at Terminal 1, or on the median between Claims 19 and 20 or across from Claim 31 at Terminal 2.
Compare the app’s fare and vehicle capacity with your party size and luggage before confirming.
The W Line, formerly Route 20, runs daily between Lelepaua Airport Skyline Station and Waikīkī. Follow signs to the station and board the bus toward Waikīkī Beach & Hotels. You do not need to ride Skyline first.
Get off at Kūhiō Avenue / Dukes Lane, stop 4867. Walk to Seaside Avenue and turn inland toward Ala Wai Boulevard to reach Island Colony. For the airport return, use Kūhiō Avenue opposite Dukes Lane, stop 4870.
TheBus currently allows one standard suitcase and one smaller carry-on per passenger. Keep them beside or in front of you, clear of the aisle and other seats. Check the linked baggage rules before relying on the bus for an airport transfer.
Pay with a HOLO card or exact cash. Check the fare for your payment method; cash rides do not include transfers.
HNL ↔ Waikīkī
Roberts Hawaii and SpeediShuttle offer airport transfers to Waikīkī. Shared rides can involve a wait for other passengers and stops at several hotels.
When booking, enter Island Colony, 445 Seaside Avenue and confirm the exact drop-off and return pickup point. If the building is not listed, ask the operator which stop to select.
Check the luggage allowance, child-seat arrangements if needed, and arrival instructions. For a group, compare the total shared fare with a private transfer.
Waikīkī ↔ Ala Moana
$6 day pass · About every 15 minutes
The Pink Line connects Waikīkī with Ala Moana Center. It runs a loop, so check the direction and stop order before boarding.
Use the Waikīkī Shopping Plaza stop on Royal Hawaiian Avenue. The ticket counter is inside the plaza at 2250 Kalākaua Avenue.
Free with a JCB card: show your card when boarding. The benefit covers the cardholder, one additional adult family member, and up to two children aged 11 or under traveling together. Tell the driver which riders are family. This benefit applies only to the Pink Line.
Historic Honolulu
The Red Line serves stops near ʻIolani Palace, the King Kamehameha statue, Chinatown, and Honolulu Museum of Art. Service is roughly hourly, so check the next departure before getting off.
Choose a pass that includes the Red Line and check the last return departure. Arrange any attraction tickets or reservations separately from your transport plans.
Town, shopping & sightseeing
HiBus sells passes for five routes covering Ala Moana, Kāhala, Diamond Head, Downtown, and shopping stops. Its Shopping Route serves Don Quijote, Walmart, and Whole Foods at Ward.
Anyone can buy a pass. Some travel packages already include one, so check your booking before paying again. Open your e-ticket on your phone with an internet connection when boarding; printed e-tickets are not accepted.
A shopping day at Waikele
Roberts Hawaii runs a dedicated shuttle between selected Waikīkī pickup points and Waikele Premium Outlets. Reserve a seat and plan around the scheduled return departure.
Select the pickup location in your reservation; the route uses designated hotel stops. Keep the return meeting point and time handy while you shop.
Use the linked schedules for current fares, stops, and service changes. Shuttle waiting time and trolley stops are not included in the walking and driving estimates above.
Allow extra time for crossings and breaks in the heat. Remember that the estimate is one way, especially if you’ll be carrying groceries or beach gear back.
The Ala Wai Canal limits where you can cross. Use the route to a specific destination rather than judging distance across the water.
